AUTHOR!

Despite the dark matter found in my books, I’m actually a happy-go-lucky Taurus full of pluck and whimsy. (One day I will write a humor book, if I can just channel P.G. Wodehouse, Joe Keenan, and Stella Gibbons without hurting myself.) Before the pandemic, my writing consisted mostly of magazine articles and short stories, but then COVID happened and I found myself with a lot of free time on my hands. I decided to try my hand at writing a novel. So how is a novel born? Equal parts free time, obsessive personality, fully charged laptop, and a groovy idea.

30 days and almost 30 pages later (turns out I’m a rabid plotter), the outline for my first novel — THE GALLANT — was ready. I set a goal date of six months to write the damn thing, and about the same to make revisions. Next came THE LAIRS, followed by THE AUTHORESS. You can read more about these three projects here.

When I’m not writing, I’m a magazine creative director and photographer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I live with my handsome husband, John, and our ridiculous Portuguese Water Dog, Humphrey. (Don’t make me show you all the pictures.) We love to travel, eat, zip line, rock climb, and take long walks in the snow. And yes, I’m hard at work planning my next book. Feel free to reach out, I’d love to hear from you.
